Blended Intensive Programme: Security Awareness

Join an international team of students from different European universities and explore how we can make society more cybersecure.

Throughout this blended intensive program, you will:

• Collaborate in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
• Discover the many aspects of cybersecurity awareness and resilience.
• Explore the social and psychological dimensions of cybersecurity.
• Design a creative solution to improve cybersecurity awareness or resilience among a specific, vulnerable group in society.
• Develop your idea into a campaign, app prototype, game, or another innovative format of your choice.
• Enjoy a dynamic learning experience that combines online collaboration with in-person activities and cultural exchange in Belgium.

During the online sessions, we will dive into the following areas:

1. General Introduction & Cybersecurity Basics
2. Psychology and Social Engineering
3. Research Perspectives on Cybersecurity Awareness
4. Human, Technical, and Organizational Controls
5. Privacy and Law
6. Cybercrime
7. Cybersecurity Awareness in Schools
8. European Initiatives and Projects

The program consists of seven online meetings (including lectures, group discussions, and student presentations) and concludes with a physical week in Belfort, France.

During this week, you will:

• Meet your international teammates in person and explore Belfort and its surroundings.
• Experience human-centered design through hands-on workshops.
• Connect directly with your target audience to understand their needs.
• Build and present your awareness-raising solution to an international jury.

By the end of the program, you will not only strengthen your understanding of cybersecurity and its human aspects but also contribute to building a safer digital society—one idea at a time.
