Brugge beweegt The project Bruges Moves is a structural collaboration between Howest and the City of Bruges to engage students in encouraging all residents of Bruges to participate in physical activity. Sleepcoach 1in 3 people lacks sufficient sleep. Sleep is crucial for our mental and physical functioning in both the short and long term. Through this Practice-Oriented Research (PWO) project, we are developing a prevention program emphasizing the importance of sleep and good sleep hygiene. Stroke2gether The Stroke2gether project focuses on the development and scaling of a digital transmural recovery pathway for individuals after a stroke. It is a stroke care pathway that combines healthcare, lifestyle, and mental support in one remote program. Healthy Howest The Healthy Howest project aims to develop a health policy for Howest students and staff. A policy plan is being devised to promote physical, mental, and social well-being among both staff and students. Vital Brains App The exploratory Practice-Based Research (PWO) project has yielded valuable insights into the potential of the Vital Brains App. The objective of this project is to assist the field by delivering a finalized product, enabling individuals to swiftly access specialized support. ELNA Experiential Learning in and with Nature: Towards Sustainable Implementation in Diverse Contexts Sleepcoach 2 Studies show that good sleep enhances the vitality of both employees and organizations. In this project, a widely applicable training program is being developed for workplace wellbeing professionals. PoST-IT In PoST-IT, three areas of expertise within Howest are innovatively connected: (1) politicizing social work, (2) evaluation and impact of social interventions, and (3) data sciences. Urban meiden Research indicates that socially active sports practices are empowering and contribute to a positive perception of young people in disadvantaged neighborhoods.
