If everything is in order, your enrollment will be forwarded to all Howest systems and your student profile will be created. You will receive a confirmation email with further instructions at your private email address. You are now officially a member of our Howest community! Your Howest-account Your Howest account gives you access to the Howest systems. You will receive all Howest communication at the email address linked to your account. You will receive your Howest username via email to your private email address (check your spam folder). To activate your account you will need to set up your password Follow the instructions Having technical problems with your account? Student portal After your registration is complete, the student secretariat will check your file to make sure everything is in order. Once they give the green light, a number of important documents will be prepared for you in iBamaflex, the student portal of Howest. Check hiervoor portal.office.com Your student card On the first day of the new academic year, you will receive your student card from the institution. This is the ultimate proof that you are part of our Howest community. Your student card is the preferred payment method on campus. The Howest campuses are completely cashless. This means that you can only pay with a bank card or your student card at the restaurants and vending machines. Discover in this video how to load money onto your card. Printing on campus can only be done with your student card. Study materials LaptopAs a Howest student, you will need a laptop. Thanks to the laptop project, you can get great value for money when purchasing a new device.SoftwareAll software for your study programme (and much more) can be found via academicsoftware.euThe software package required for your study programme is included in the extra study costs. Since the software licenses are valid for one year, the package is only activated at the start of the academic year.Other programme-specific software can be purchased at a student-friendly price.BooksAs from 09/09 you can purchase your books online via StudentShop of Standaard Boekhandel with your Howest login. Details about your order (delivery, returns ...) can be found under the Practical section.Students of DAE and IPO buy their books themselves and not through that StudentShop of Standaard Boekhandel.Beware: not every program uses books.
