The exploratory Practice-Based Research (PWO) project has yielded valuable insights into the potential of the Vital Brains App. The objective of this project is to assist the field by delivering a finalized product, enabling individuals to swiftly access specialized support.     

More and more people are convinced of the importance of living in an environment that offers ample opportunities for physical activity. The COVID-19 pandemic has contributed to this, as many people rediscovered their own neighborhoods during lockdowns.                            

The coordination of the Flemish Steering Group - Cybersecurity Support Policy is assigned to KUL and Howest. This aligns with the implementation of the Flemish Cybersecurity Policy Plan Part 3, encompassing communication programs and training initiatives.                         

In this project, we are developing an engaging and high-quality training program tailored to support and empower mentors in the industry in their role as guides and co-evaluators of students during workplace learning.

Within this project, the Howest Academy aims to promote lifelong learning in the workplace and actively broaden access to the knowledge and expertise of the university from the perspective of open science.                                                                           

Digital Arts & Entertainment possesses a professional green screen film set, including a crane system and peripherals. Attached to this setup is an advanced motion capture technology (20 Optitrack cameras) allowing the movements of 3 to 4 individuals to be captured simultaneously

In this project, we will explore the potential of utilizing the River Leie as a heat source to efficiently and intelligently warm future buildings of Howest and the city of Kortrijk.
