Bij Howest begrijpen we dat het vinden van de juiste studierichting een uitdaging kan zijn. Misschien is je gekozen opleiding niet wat je had verwacht of vallen de resultaten na de eerste examens tegen. Blijf niet bij de pakken zitten en maak een nieuwe start in februari!

Quality assurance in every programme

Quality assurance is embedded in the daily operation of our entire programme. We continuously and systematically improve the quality of each course. The involvement of students, field professionals and alumni is crucial here.

Industrial Informatics is a new Programme and had an Initial Accreditation in 2018 conducted by NVAO. U can find the report here (in Dutch). In 2026-2027 the programme will have an accreditation by the NVAO.

Welke laptop heb ik nodig?

Mogelijks heb je nog een laptop dat geschikt is om te starten? Of misschien moet je een nieuw toestel aankopen? Wens je je toestel zelf aan te kopen bij een eigen keuze leverancier? Volgende specificaties raden we aan voor je laptop:

  • Een Intel i5 processor of gelijkwaardige AMD processor dat maximaal 4 à 5 jaar oud is.
  • 32 GB RAM geheugen. Je kan de opleiding starten met 16 GB RAM maar kijk zeker of je het geheugen kan uitbreiden binnen je laptop naar 32 GB wanneer dit nodig wordt.
  • 1024 GB (1 TB) NVMe (SSD) harde schijf
  • Een specifieke grafische (gaming) card heb je niet nodig.
  • Minstens 1 USB-C (of thunderbolt) poort is nuttig om eventueel een externe harde schijf aan te kunnen sluiten.
  • Webcam
  • Eventueel: een numpad (numeriek gedeelte) op je klavier en een ethernet poort voor vaste netwerkkabel.
