Each Howest training has therefore embedded learning with an open mind in its programme and offers various opportunities for internationalisation for its students and staff.Howest actively participates in European and national mobility programmes such as Erasmus, the scholarship programmes of both the Flemish Government and the Province of West Flanders, and VLIR-UOS for development cooperation.Howest has been strengthening its profile as an initiator and partner school for international projects for years.Our technological courses are linked to various R & D projects with foreign companies and are part of an expansive academic research network with partners from many countries. He did an internship at adventure company Climbo in Gran Canaria (Spain), during the spring semester of 2020-2021 and was awarded an Erasmus scholarship. She did an internship at surf school Anywhere Watersport in Valencia (Spain), during the spring semester 2020-2021 and was awarded an Erasmus scholarship. She did an exchange study at Sejong University in South Korea, during autumn semester 2020-2021 and received a generic grant from the Flemish government as well as a grant from the Province of West Flanders. He studied in the spring semester of 2019-2020 at Appalachian State University, our partner school in Boone, North Carolina, USA. For this, he was awarded a Priority Country grant from the Flemish government. Kain won 1st prize in the 'Share your international experience' photo contest. Only available in Dutch Watch the video Lucas Van Driessche is a Bachelor of Sports and Movement student. He completed an internship with Oye Lena in Peru during the 2019-2020 spring semester. For this, Lucas received a grant from the Province of West Flanders. He won 2nd prize in the 'Share your international experience' photo contest. He did an internship at Ausy/Randstad in Toulouse, France during the spring semester 2019-2020 and was awarded an Erasmus grant. He did an internship at Filipino partner school: Saint Mary's University, under a broad collaboration supported by the Province of West Flanders. As a 2nd year student, he participated in a group exchange with Filipino students and got a taste of doing a semester internship in the Philippines in his final year. In English Watch the video Capucine Bollé is a Applied Health Sciences student. She did an internship at The Swallow, a school project of the 4th pillar organisation Afrodidact. In English Watch the video Laurens Hellinger is Howest alumnus Bachelor of Applied Computer Science. He did an Erasmus internship at Blackboard London (UK) and was also able to work there as a permanent employee after his internship. He also participated in the Summer School in South Korea: "It started with a simple e-mail to which I responded, but it turned into a fantastic and exotic experience."
