From conversations with partners in the construction sector, it became evident that there is untapped potential for integrating STEM into the construction industry. The TEENie Tiny Houses project explicitly aims to demonstrate that construction profiles encompass a wide range of talents through a challenging, sustainable, and integrated building challenge.Specifically, young people (aged 14-18) work together under the guidance of a youth worker from one of the partner organizations to create modular houses. They start with a base of pallets measuring 2 meters by 80 centimeters. During this process, they can unleash their entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and inspiration. The only requirement is that the house is sustainable and can be lived in for a short period. The program culminates in a final event linked to an existing festival or event organized by the city services or partner youth organizations.
