With Rethink Energy 4 Food, the project consortium aims to accelerate the energy transition in the Flemish food industry. New technology solutions are being developed at foodcompanies to contribute to the Flemish 2030 goals. Besides pure energy technology, the project pays special attention to food process technologies that combine energy transition objectives with product quality gains and/or production yield increases. Such win-win opportunities significantly lower the implementation threshold and from there, consequently, the fastest introduction of the technology and knowledge can be expected.The project consortium is committed to application-oriented knowledge building, translation research, knowledge dissemination activities and a platform operation to maximize valorization opportunities.
