'Upscaling Health Tech labs for Accelerating Innovations' aims to expand the digital health knowledge boulevard from Bruges. After all, the many digital technologies (MHealth, XR, AI big data,...) do not yet always find their way to the customer and the healthcare professional. Digitization of healthcare processes is necessary to continue to guarantee healthcare. 'Upscaling Health Tech labs for Accelerating Innovations' aims to expand the digital health knowledge boulevard from Bruges. In the demo environments, companies/care organizations are invited to test and market prototypes of new products/services in scientifically supported test environments. By allowing companies/care organizations to participate in joint projects with the support/expertise of the knowledge institutions, the transition can be made to a renewed care model in which digital support plays a key role. Thus, the labs, including mobile infrastructure with a sustainable service model for companies and care organizations, will be expanded. There is also the expansion of the Digital Health community with a focus on informing about trends, innovation potential, possible applications and testimonials. It examines how digital innovations can be used in prevention, primary care and second line to support staff and optimize patient experience. The project is a collaboration between KU Leuven Campus Bruges, Vives and Howest as knowledge institutions, In4Care and POM West Flanders. The development of the labs at the knowledge institutions thus forms a springboard to the development and activation of a regional ecosystem with a Flemish broad appeal around digital healthcare.
