Coping with crisis

This project aims to introduce 'Oral Literature for Development' (OL4D) as a new paradigm, based on the belief that culture and creativity are central to the development of all people.

As a team, we recognize the potential in the cultural and historical ways people have dealt with crises through their literary expressions. However, we also observe that urban adolescents in Kenya and Ethiopia, in particular, do not connect with this literary history when faced with crises. Through learning processes, we aim to empower young individuals to engage in living oral storytelling traditions while reflecting on the possibilities of dealing with crisis situations.
