Today no one doubts that the future of tourism is digital and online. A digital creative tourism manager possesses vital new skills: visual and digital storytelling, entrepreneurship and an international, crossmedia mindset.

The English-taught semester on migration and refugees takes place in autumn as a block course with a wide range of modules. The modules include lectures, field trips, group works, testimonies of experts from the field and contact with people displaced due to conflict, war and persecution.

The English-taught semester in the teacher training department is meant for students in education departments with a bachelor’s or master’s degree. At Howest, we train teachers to teach in nursery schools, primary schools and the lower years of secondary schools (from 2,5 to 16-year olds).
