Enhance your student experience with the sports options available on the StudentApp. As a Howest student, you'll enjoy a range of benefits:

• Free access to the Lago swimming pool;
• Free use of fitness facilities at local centers like the Sportinnovatiecampus and Lange Munte;
• Free activities such as yoga, zumba, core stability, pilates, and BBB

Here's how it works

• Register and verify your account: Go to app.studentapp.be and complete your registration. Verify your email within 24 hours.
• Log in: Access StudentApp to explore the various programs and unlock the sports programme.
• Payment: Proceed to our secure online payment platform. Once the payment is completed, your programme will be unlocked.
• Choose your activity: Review each activity for any additional steps, such as reservations or extra fees.
• Check in: from half an hour before the start of the activity and enjoy your sport!

Our recreational sports offer is also open to students of AUGent*.
*AUGent = Howest, HOGENT, UGent and Artevelde.

Our other sports events

In addition to our recreational sports offerings, we regularly host various other sporting events. These include annual ski trips, (international) championships, paintball activities, and more.

Competitions

"Sport and academics, harmoniously blended." This is the guiding principle of Studentensport Vlaanderen. Each year, they host the Flemish Student Championships, where students from higher education institutions compete against one another. It's a unique fusion of sports and student life! Are you ready to represent Howest?

What can you expect?

• Stuvo covers expenses for attire, participation fees, meals, and transportation to and from sports centers;
• Students with classes on tournament days may be eligible for exemptions;
• Enjoy free training opportunities (no obligations required!);

• Potentially earn a spot in our international championships.

Please note, these competitions are only applicable to students who also compete at a high level in their home country! Recreational tournaments may be organized separately.
