The application for the PWO Smart Immersive Occupational Performance Interventions (SIOPI) is an extension of the ongoing PWO Smart Immersive Occupational Performance Assessments (SIOPA). SIOPA is currently developing three VR assessments iteratively. The next phase in the occupational therapy process, after conducting VR assessments, involves VR interventions. With SIOPI, several use cases will be established to iteratively develop a Proof of Concept (PoC) of VR interventions that can be effectively used as therapeutic tools for the target group of stroke patients with hemineglect. Adding biometric parameters and sensors ensures personalized measurement and targeted training of patients.Subsequently, new domains will be explored, and VR interventions within elderly care and mental health care will be developed, tested, and adapted for occupational therapy use. In a two-year collaboration with project staff from Occupational Therapy, HITlab, MCT, and DAE, both the VR interventions and the exploration of other domains will be carried out.
