Creating digital content (marketing campaigns, websites, apps and VR/AR applications) requires a thorough understanding of end-user experiences and responses. Traditional methods such as surveys provide valuable insights, but often miss the unconscious responses. Advanced data analytics techniques offer deeper insights into user experiences.

Research at HITlab focuses on combining implicit and explicit techniques to help companies better understand the users of their digital content. We want to build benchmarks by sector by collecting data and working with companies. The goal is to determine how different elements in content influence users' emotional and cognitive responses. There will also be a focus on collecting comprehensive data and optimizing algorithms.
