The MCT/STAR lab research group of Howest will subcontract with Be-Mobile to investigate and develop possible Android and iOS smartphone applications aimed at ergonomic use by pedestrians and cyclists (active road users). These apps will also feature an attractive and user-friendly user interface and user experience with a focus on road safety.MCT/STAR lab will thoroughly test the apps with users in various research phases and address critical bugs before the apps are published in the app stores. Be-Mobile will provide the software development kit (SDK), necessary datasets for app testing, and offer support and expertise.
