This European research project called "Place aux jeunes" focuses on involving young people in urban planning for the future. The project consists of several phases, including producing visions of public spaces by young people, exchanging ideas on youth participation in redevelopment projects, and testing methods and tools for youth consultation. The participating countries are France, Portugal, Poland, and Belgium. The project includes workshops, project visits, and events where young people present their creations to urban planners. It aims to develop methodological guides for involving youth in urban planning, produce various creative expressions by young people about their future cities, and create documentaries about the project by the involved youth. The focus is on creating partnerships for youth: it aims to bridge the gap between young people, youth professionals, local officials, and urban planners to work together on the cities of 2050. Through workshops, visits, and exchanges, the voice of the youth is heard and integrated into future urban development plans.
