ISOC infrastructuur

Howest is establishing an Integrated Security Operations Center (ISOC). An ISOC is an extension of the more familiar SOC (Security Operations Center, the physical location of an information security team).

One of the significant advantages of an ISOC is that it not only ensures the security of the IT environment but also consolidates the security of the industrial and physical environment. It integrates hardware, software, and services, bringing isolated monitoring and response functions together within a unified framework.

Howest's ISOC will consist of four servers responsible for the logging and data management layer, and four servers with graphical processing power to perform analyses using AI.
