Kindvriendelijkpatri

Research and Expertise Center Vital Cities identifies the principles of child and youth-friendly heritage through appreciative inquiry. In collaboration with the relevant departments of the city of Bruges, the study will explore the essential principles that need to be considered for the benefit of children and young people in renovations and new constructions of heritage sites. Which necessary steps should be incorporated as a (child) reflex at various stages within the design process? What are the crucial principles currently considered by various Bruges city services? What are they based on, and why should they be preserved (or not)? The lessons learned will be translated into a practical toolkit for the involved departments aiming to work with child-friendly heritage.
