You can always request books or articles available at another library using the request form below. We'll notify you by email when the item is ready. Pickup and return are always done at your own campus library. You can only request resources from academic libraries.

On UniCat you can search the offerings of the Royal Belgian Library (KBR), all Belgian university and college libraries, heritage and museum libraries, etc.

Our lending service is free for Howest students and staff.

Please take the following points into account:

  • Not all books, theses, etc., are available through IBL (e.g., loose-pages works, very expensive works, etc.).
  • The supplying library determines the loan period.
  • You should always request an extension of the loan period in a timely manner from your own campus library.

ISSN is het unieke nummer van een tijdschrift (XXX-XXX).
ISBN is het unieke nummer van een boek meestal achteraan te vinden onder de barcode of vooraan in het boek, bestaat uit 13 cijfers.
Jaartal van het boek, artikel of tijdschrift.
Bij een artikel heb je soms ook een vermelding van een maand.
Bij een artikel heb je soms ook een vermelding van een dag.
Bij een tijdschriftartikel vind je dikwijls een volumenummer of een jaargang. Vb. Communication Director 25(2)
25 is hier het volumenummer (aantal jaren dat het tijdschrift wordt uitgegeven, wordt ook jaargang genoemd)
