(English-taught semester) Realisation in Product Design
"If you want to stand out creativity is key!"
Every industrial product designer creates products. They always start with a concept, which finally is materialized. During this design process, the designer takes into account technical possibilities, social trends and needs, design and functionality. This requires both creativity and technical insight.
Design and creativity, engineering, user and usage (user-centered design), flexible production and multimedia, presentation: these five pillars are the ingredients of our study program.
Besides the designer, there are multiple stakeholders in the process of turning an idea into a product. With a bird’s-eye view on the global industrialization process and all its actors, students will create, materialize, produce and launch a product on the market. To do this, they will write a business plan, research the target group, contact and visit production companies, create a marketing plan and get a small project into production.
