(English-taught semester) Realisation in Product Design
"If you want to stand out creativity is key!"
Every industrial product designer creates products. He or she always starts with a concept, which finally is being materialized. During this design process, the designer takes into account technical possibilities, social trends and needs, design and functionality. This requires both creativity and technical insight.
Design and creativity, engineering, user and usage (user-centered design), flexible production and multimedia, presentation: these five pillars are the ingredients of our study program
Besides the designer, there are a lot of stakeholders in the process of turning an idea into a product. With a bird’s-eye perspective on the global industrialisation process and all its actors, students will create, materialise, produce and launch a product into the market. Therefore they will be writing a business plan, researching the target group, contacting and visiting production companies, creating a marketing plan and getting a small project into production.
