As a Web3 Engineer, you will learn how to develop and secure innovative applications and networks. Among others, you use Ethereum, Solidity, and Hyperledger Fabric. You will delve into the security of smart contracts and consensus mechanisms on different blockchain networks, such as Ethereum and Hyperledger Fabric, and learn how to set up and manage decentralised nodes.

In addition to the technical aspects, you will also learn how to map and adapt business processes to the innovative concepts of Web3, such as Self-Sovereign Identity and DeFi. You will learn how to apply these technologies in practice and how to use them to support companies in their digitization.

Since 2016 Howest Applied Informatics steers research projects for Blockchain and anchors these in education since 2017. Being part of this course program students will be able to form the upcoming Blockchain market industry and obtain a head start compared to others.

This course program is part of Bachelor Applied Science in which you’ll get a profound knowledge of software- and web development, databases and server and system administration. The choice for this course is made after 1 year of education which guarantees thorough consideration.
