Howest and Sport Flanders have developed expertise in the niche field of 'exergames' or 'interactive movement games' through the Sports Innovation Campus. Through this collaboration, we are establishing a space for research, education, and services on this theme. From Howest, our focus areas include:- Research: Further development of prototypes (with DAE, MCT, etc.) and creating and testing accurate motion content + experimenting in authentic contexts.- Education: Internally providing future-proof training and offering training for Sport Flanders, external teachers, and coaches.- Reporting & Further Valorization: In the initial phase, the goal is to set up a separate space in the domain of Sport Flanders Bruges (recreation room) with unique exergames and research infrastructure.- Howest is responsible for realizing the above aspects, while Sport Flanders is responsible for management and operation.
