The project objective of Smart Services Bridge is to establish connections and synergies between businesses (SMEs) and higher education institutions in the cross-border region of Flanders-Netherlands to enhance innovation capacity in the region.

The first sub-objective is to prepare and initiate smart collaborations between universities and SMEs. This is achieved through the exchange of knowledge and expertise between Flemish and Dutch project partners, as well as the development of joint cross-border co-creation methodologies.

The second sub-objective is to establish smart services for SMEs. This is approached uniquely by focusing on product-technical collaboration projects and also addressing the valorization of these innovations.

The third sub-objective is to anchor a cross-border knowledge network around this collaboration. This is done through cross-border expert days where methodologies, expertise, and best practices from collaboration projects are shared within a cross-border knowledge network of sufficient scale.
