Howest is experiencing limited disruption with the online network
We at Howest are currently experiencing limited disruption on our online network. This is because Belnet, the internet network of the Flemish government, has been hit by a major cyber attack. Belnet provides internet access to colleges and universities, among others, and also to Howest.
Nevertheless, all Howest platforms such as Canvas, LEHO and Office365 are currently operational.
Those taking classes from home and thus not on the Belnet network should not experience any problems. The WiFi network on our campuses works slower in some places. It is best to log in via "Welkombijhowest".
Our IT department follows the situation closely and communicates with every update. For specific questions, you can contact the helpdesk via the newly activated emergency number 050/89 35 77.
